Our ESG approach

Ecological

  • The St. Moritz Automobile Week presents an ecologically compatible festival in the Engadine and the communities where events take place.
  • Environmental compatibility: a clear commitment of the organisation to keep the ecological footprint as small as possible - and where unavoidable - to compensate (Co2 certificates).
  • Bernina Gran Turismo 2020 was the first historical event ever to be carried out in a climate-neutral way via CO2 certificates.
  • All events of the St. Moritz Automobile Week are climate neutral through CO2 certificates.
  • Waste avoidance concept, value-added system, less costly set-up infrastructure,
  • Intelligent transport concept with public transport modes
  • Environmental representative(s) of the organisation

Social

  • Social aspect: tourism in the low season in the Engadine, which stabilises the year-round function of the surrounding communities and moves away from purely seasonal summer/winter tourism
  • Event for all social groups:
    • "Young" & "Old" - focus on the young
    • "Rich" & "Poor" – Affordable for all, especially families
    • Historical mobility is a connector for all social classes
  • Modern social media set-up carries the St. Moritz Automobile Week with Upper Engadine location out into the world
  • Connecting "All Walks of Life" through cosmopolitan, modern event.

Governance

  • Proven safety and traffic concept for the spectators
  • Preservation of cultural assets: Historical mobility rethought, integrated in the future with aircraft, agricultural machinery and rail vehicles.
  • Sustainable mobility of the future and tourism relevance of individual transport will be topics for future design of this living environment.

La Rösa Brotherhood

The Fraternity La Rösa (Bruderschaft La Rösa / Fraternità La Rösa) is a registered charitable association. Its purpose is to support people within the Bernina Region as well as in neighbouring valleys who have fallen upon hard times through no fault of their own. In addition, the Fraternity also acts in the interest of society in general, in particular on cultural and environmental protection projects which further the preservation, promotion and cultivation of the region.

The Fraternity aims to bring people together, irrespective of their social status, in order to provide support to people in need within society.

The Fraternity’s Club House is located in the beautiful Post and Sumpter Station La Rösa (Stazione della Posta) in La Rösa / Valposchiavo at an altitude of 1880 meters above sea-level. This Post Station originally provided travellers with shelter during their arduous crossing of the Bernina Pass. The Fraternity picked this location as its Club House in commemoration of this old tradition.
